CAS183 Sketch Challenge!

Here I am for the Clean and Simple challenge this week...a sketch challenge from our very own Tenia! I just loved the very original layout Tenia used on her card!
For this first one, I was going for a basically one layer card. I masked the diagonal shape, stamped the script and sponged inside the mask. I added the butterfly, sentiment and twine and viola!
supplies:
stamps- SU Flutter Friends, Tim Holtz
ink- ranger distress inks, versafine black
paper- PTI white
accessories- twine
technique - masking

For this one I cut a piece of woodgrain patterned paper 4 X 5.25 and then used a craft knife to cut out the diagonal part. I used a christmas tree stamp and die but then I embossed it and sponged over it so it looked like a regular fir tree. Made a pretty cool guy card!

supplies:
stamps- Papertrey Ink tree trimming trio, birthday basics, unk company alpha stamps
paper- DCWV patterned paper, PTI fine linen, SU old olive, chocolate chip
ink- ranger distress inks
accessories- sizzix embossing folder, PTI die, craft knife

For this one, I had to use the diagonal scrap cut out from the tree card!  I just distressed it a bit and cut out some stamped shells I colored with watercolor paints and an aqua pen.
supplies:
stamps- Flourishes, Papertrey Ink signature greetings
paper- DCWV patterned paper, PTI fine linen
ink- versafine black, ranger distress inks, PTI fresh snow
accessories- twine
techniques- distressing

A sketch challenge from Darsie1! Here is my take on the sketch...

CAS179 Twine

These are for the Clean and Simple challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers! This week's challenge is to use TWINE!
You can check it out HERE.

For this first card I just watercolored the stamped flowers with watercolor pencils and an aqua brush. I like the way the earthy twine looks against the blingy button!

I used to think July was too early for Christmas stuff but not anymore! I started making some Holiday cards already and this one came together fast using some silver thread.

And lastly, I was trying to do some weaving but ended up just going for a frame. I was getting bored wrapping the twine around the cardstock! Made a cute frame though!

So that's all for the CAS challenge this week....in another note....
The Hostess for the CAS challenge, my friend Jen is stepping down from her positions as Hostess. SHe has left me her baby and I will do my best to carry not he CAS challenge as she would have! Thanks for all you have done Jen, carry on!
